Abbaye Sainte-Marie de Pierredon - Plenilunio 2012 - Wine

The right tone Fresh and elegant. A pure expression of the estate, to produce wines of conviviality. Magic evenings under the full moon. This wine was christened Plenilunio in honour of the full moon and the promise it brings of magic and dreams. A little parcel of sauvignon is enough to make this highly confidential and utterly atypical cuvée. Delicate aromas of boxwood, roundness and harmony make this a deeply flattering wine and its great originality will tempt any wine-lover to dream... A flattering and harmonious wine, where Sauvignon comes through with originality.

Wine production

Light pressing (pneumatic press). Fermentation at low temperature to contain all the aromas (15/16°C). Light fining process, with clarifying by natural sedimentation.

Clear and brilliant in colour, tinted with gold. The nose is very generous with floral aromas but also delicate touches of box; it already pays magnificent tribute to its terroir. The first taste is round and full, on the palate the wine offers great elegance and subtlety with practically the same aromas as in the nose. A pleasing and harmonious wine.

Ideal complements

As an aperitif, with seafood or a selection of locally produced dry goats cheeses.

Ready for drinking now and for the next 5 years.
