Abbaye Sainte Marie de Pierredon, wines, Prima Luce, Ultima Laude

Respect for history, the environment, the land its fruits run through everything that is done on the property, from the improvement of the parcels for planting to the bottling of the wine.

Any estate is characterized by its soil and its climate. Human expertise adapts to these changing variables. It is a question of pulling together local traditions, the specificities of the Pierredon soil and innovations that make it possible to improve quality.

In tribute to the monks who lived here for centuries, the wines of the Abbaye Sainte-Marie de Pierredon are named after the rites which that structured their days, from dawn till dusk: Prima Luce (first light of the dawn), Ultima Laude (last prayer in the evening)...

Labels are inspired by stained glass, which lent churches their colour and light.

A message of patience, determination and faith...

"We do not inherit land from our parents, we borrow it from our children."

No-one seeing this striking landscape could argue with the spirit of Antoine de Saint Exupéry's remark.
